  27. I find this Article in the Risc User Magazine December 1989:

  29. CLEAN TERMINATION
  30. If you run a non Wimp program from the 
  31. Desktop, you will get the following message 
  32. when it terminates: 'Press SPACE or click 
  33. mouse to continue'. To avoid this add the line:
  34. SYS "Wimp_CommandWindow",-1
  35. to the end of the program, ensuring that no 
  36. text or graphics output can occur after this statement has been 
  37. executed. A program
  38. which is then run from the Desktop will 
  39. return you to the Desktop as soon as the 
  40. program terminates. Note, however, that if 
  41. such a program is run directly from a Basic
  42. language environment, you will be left in a
  43. VDU 5 state, and the program should execute 
  44. VDU 4 to return to normal cursor operation.
